What can I do with my Lake Country lot?

Type an address in the District of Lake Country. You see what the District's map holds for its lot, and what the zoning says about splitting it, adding a suite or a carriage house, or building up to four homes.

The lot's facts come from the District of Lake Country's open map data: its parcels, zoning, sanitary sewer mains and development permit areas, read when you ask. The rules come from Zoning Bylaw 561 and the District's and the Province's pages on subdividing and suites, the same ones my guides cite. For a zone those guides do not cover, the checker links to its section of the bylaw instead of guessing.

A map is not a survey, and a zone is not an approval. The Approving Officer decides a subdivision, and the Agricultural Land Commission decides on land in the reserve. Before you buy to build or split, I can walk the lot with you and put the right questions to the District.
